Acuity Scheduling

Acuity Scheduling (now part of Squarespace) is an online appointment scheduling tool with customisable booking pages, automated reminders, intake forms, and calendar syncing with Google Calendar, Outlook, and iCloud.

Accounting firms use Acuity to let clients book appointments directly — selecting appointment types (tax consultation, bookkeeping review, advisory session), choosing their preferred staff member, completing intake forms, and paying for services at the time of booking. Automated email and text reminders reduce missed appointments. Firms can set different availability windows, appointment durations, and buffer times for each service type.

Acuity integrates with payment processors (Stripe, PayPal), video conferencing tools, and other business applications. It competes with Calendly in the scheduling space. It is best suited for firms that want a branded, self-service booking experience for clients, particularly those offering paid consultations or advisory sessions.
