Xero Practice Manager (XPM) is Xero’s practice management tool for accounting firms, covering job management, time tracking, invoicing, and staff performance reporting. It integrates natively with Xero’s accounting platform and Xero HQ, giving firms a single ecosystem for managing both their practice and their clients’ books.

Firms use XPM to create and track jobs, record time, generate invoices, and report on staff utilisation and job profitability. Recurring job templates automate the setup of regular compliance work. Time entries and invoices sync directly to the firm’s own Xero ledger, eliminating double entry between practice management and accounting.

XPM is the successor to WorkflowMax within the Xero ecosystem. It is best suited for firms that are already committed to Xero for client accounting and want their practice management within the same platform. Firms that need more advanced workflow automation or features like email integration and client portals often supplement XPM with third-party tools.
